Jonathan Schwartz, now president and CEO, and Jeff Jackson (pictured), vice president of Java Developer Platforms and Strategy, will  be opening JavaOne this year. Both are scheduled to kick off the first General Session of the conference, at 8:30AM-10:30AM on Tuesday, May 16.

Established in 1996, this is the 11th successive JavaOne. SYS-CON.TV will be interviewing every day in the Java Pavilion each day at booth #1440. The lineup this year is star-studded, with major interviews taking place with Sun's eminent Director of Web Technologies, Tim Bray, and its equally well-known Chief Open Source Officer, Simon Phipps.  

Not to mention Vice President & Chief Technology Officer of Sun's Software group, Hal Stern; and its Director of Marketing for Desktop Solutions, Peter Ulander.
